20schemes Music helps church plants and individuals across the schemes “sing for joy to the Lord [and] shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation” (Psalm 95:1).
With the scriptures being filled with mandates to sing to the Lord, we can’t have churches that don’t have singing on the agenda. 20schemes Music comes alongside church plants to practically prepare them for worship through music, whether that’s through training up musicians from the schemes or creating a digital database of Biblically rich songs for planters to pull from.
We also want to nurture a hymn-writing culture within scheme churches that opens another avenue to point people to Jesus. Psalm 144:9 says “I will sing a new song to you, O God; upon a ten-stringed harp I will play to you.” Sharing praise and testimonies through song is modeled in the Bible, and we believe that songs written by members of our scheme churches can be a powerful witness to friends and neighbours in their community.
20schemes Music’s latest project is called Hymns in Hard Places. This album is a new resource of congregational songs written to equip the local church by pointing weary believers to our certain hope in Jesus.
You can listen to the full album on Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp and watch lyric videos of many of the songs on YouTube.
Sol Fenne, 20schemes Music Coordinator, explains the heart behind the album in this short video.
