Harestanes Baptist Church has been active in the community for the last number of decades, trying to reach the lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ. In recent years, as the members of the church have grown older, they have struggled to engage with the community as they once did so they have now asked 20schemes to come help revitalise their witness as a church.
20schemes has partnered with Harestanes Baptist Church to revitalise the gospel work happening there. We have been able to provide a church planter in Lewis Macaulay, who will pastor the church and, Lord-willing, lead a team to reach the scheme with the Gospel.
We are still looking for willing people to come to Harestanes and be a part of this vital gospel work. Is the Lord calling you to come and serve Him in Harestanes?
Current needs for prayer:
- Please pray for wisdom as we equip a plant team to be sent to Harestanes.
- The church’s existing pastor, David Vogan, as he leads the church through this period of change before handing over to Lewis.
- Please pray for the church members to respond well to the change and for more to come to be active church members.
- Give God thanks for the chaplaincy work that we have been able to take on in the local primary school.
